Workshops on Capacity Building for AEO organized in Durres, Albania and Tivat, Montenegro

Within Component 3 of the project, a number of events in the area of AEO and Mutual Recognition is foreseen. In the initial phase, the project team will assist the parties that have not implemented their national AEO program to start national piloting and improve implementation of AEO. Hence, two capacity building workshops were organized as a joint activity for four CEFTA Parties The first three-day was organized in Albania, Durres on May 8-10, 2018, for custom officers from Albania and Kosovo*. The second three-day was organized in Montenegro, Tivat on May 15-17, for custom officers from Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The objectives of the workshops were to improve capacities of the respective customs officers to become acquainted with the core skills needed for AEO validation process though interactive and practical case study exercises. In addition, the workshops were designed to support developing of national AEO pilot programs.
