Within Component 3 of the project a training of officials dealing with risk management issues was undertaken in Budva, Montenegro during the period of 4 to 6 July, 2018. The aim of the workshop was to assess and compare national risk management programs and pave the way for development of a harmonized regional risk management strategy and profiling approach in CEFTA.
During the workshop, all parties involved presented their RM strategy and its implementation, followed by questions and answers and discussion between the CEFTA party RM representatives. Based on the presentations delivered by the national RM experts of the various CEFTA parties and the outcome of the discussions, a comparative report on RM will be prepared.
The Parties have produced and discussed risk analysis for five different risk areas that were determined by the group. Moreover, a coordinating team for each risk area was set up and tasked with preparing the outputs for further discussion and presentation at the next regional workshop due in October 2018.
Due to the sensitivity of data which has to be shared between Parties, further activities are pending the formal approval of all parties under the CEFTA Subcommittee on Customs and Rules of Origin.
