The project “Support to Facilitation of Trade between CEFTA Parties” has been finalized and its closure marked at the conference held on February 25, 2020 in Tivat, Montenegro. The conference was organized in order to present the achievements of the project in the previous 3 years of implementation, to go over the lessons learned, as well as to announce the follow-up project and expected reforms in the upcoming period.

The event brought together all involved parties, participating in activities of all four components of the project, where they had the opportunity to discuss the main trade reforms with all interested parties. Likewise, the conference was an occasion to announce the initiation of the new project starting from June 2020 and discuss the expectations for upcoming 3-year period.

Some of the main trade reforms in CEFTA in the period of project duration were the results of the efforts and implementation of the project, i.e. the procedure for mutual recognition of AEOs was agreed, the joint regional Risk Management Strategy adopted and the decision on facilitating trade of fruit and vegetables agreed.
