The Subcommittee on Agriculture contributes to the promotion of trade and facilitates trade in agricultural products within CEFTA.  It discusses and coordinates to the maximum extent possible, policies on agriculture and the protection of plant health, animal health and food safety and other relevant areas.  The Subcommittee operates in accordance with its official Terms of Reference as set out in Annex 7 to JC Decision 1/2015 and reports to the Committee on Trade Facilitation.

Veterinary Working Group

The Veterinary Working Group aim to support the work of the CEFTA Sub-committee on Agriculture including Sanitary and Phytosanitary Issues by contributing to the promotion and facilitation of trade in agri-food products within CEFTA, as well as to discuss and coordinate the related policies on agriculture and the protection of animal health and food safety and other relevant areas in accordance with Articles 11 and 12 of the CEFTA 2006. It operates in line with its official Terms of Reference as set out in Annex 10 to JC Decision No. 9_2024 amending Decisions No. 1_2015 and No. 5_2014 and reports to Subcommittee on Agriculture and Sanitary and Phytosanitary Issues.
