Committee of Trade Facilitation

The Committee addresses issues related to the facilitation of  trade in CEFTA, with a view to reduce costs caused by inefficient clearance procedures, while balancing trade facilitation with the continuous increasing requirements for safety and security measures in the international and regional supply chains.  Its official Terms of Reference are set out in Annex 1 of JC Decision 1/2015. Committee is chaired by the current Chair in Office.  It comprises high-level officials from the institutions responsible for trade and the Chairs of the Subcommittees on Agriculture and SPS and Customs and Rules of Origin.  The Committee reports to the Joint Committee.
