Trade activities remain maintained despite the Covid-19 outbreak

April 22, 2020

The first data on the functioning of the green lanes shows that the trade activities are carried out despite the Covid-19. 1912 trucks benefited from establishing intra-CEFTA Green Corridors for transport of goods in the first day of implementation of the new regime. Out of the number, 21% were tracks with the essential goods that benefited from priority passage. Further details are available here.

The data are generated from entry pre-arrival notifications sent to the customs authorities. Today CEFTA has made the electronic notifications of pre-arrival information available not only to the customs authorities, but veterinary and phytosanitary inspections, with the aim to ensure seamless intra-CEFTA flow of essential goods.

The statistics will be basis for further analysis and serve as a monitoring tool for the green lane implementation.
