Signing of the Additional Protocol

May 18, 2016

After two years of negotiations, Albania, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova and Serbia agreed on more liberalised concessions in  trade of agricultural products by signing the Additional Protocol to the Agreement. The Parties abolished all customs duties on imports, all charges having equivalent effect, and all import duties of a fiscal nature in trade between them on all the products other than those subject to bilateral concessions as listed in Annex 10. This significant liberalisation of trade in agricultural products is an   important step in  further reducing trade barriers  and is expected to have positive effects on the overall economy of the region.
