CEFTA Week 2013 will be held in Sarajevo on 18 -19 November

May 19, 2016

CEFTA Week 2013 will be held in Sarajevo on 18 -19 November in the Bristol Hotel. We propose to hold a number of parallel sessions in the day and a half leading up to the CEFTA Joint Committee meeting which would address different aspects of CEFTA and would cater to different interests including government officials, international organisations, the business community, the diplomatic community, the academic world and journalists. These events will provide an excellent opportunity to highlight the progress achieved by the CEFTA Parties in the last 6 years and to disseminate the current regional and global challenges in trade related areas such as investments, agriculture, customs and rules of origin and services. At the same time CEFTA Week will focus in particular on the main priorities of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Chair for 2013 which include the outcoming decision on launching negotiations for liberalisation of trade in services, the development and improvement of the mechanism for elimination of trade barriers and for ensuring transparency in all areas. The events are being held immediately prior to the annual meeting of the CEFTA Joint Committee on 20 November 2013. Thus the conclusions and recommendations of the CEFTA Week will be subsequently submitted to the Joint Committee for ministers’ consideration and later on to the various CEFTA structure for action. Official invitations to CEFTA Week 2013 were issued on 7 October. Below you will find the preliminary schedule of events. A more detailed programme schedule and individual session agendas will be available closer to the event.
